I know I’ve said it before, but fresh 48s have my heart. They truly are some of my favorite sessions to shoot. There is something so unique about these sessions that you just can’t capture at any other point. There are emotions and an overall feeling that is palpable in the room, I hardly have to guide clients.
I am finally blogging again! Once you check out this session, you will know why I had to jump back in. This in-home session is exactly how I love my to shoot my baby sessions, with lots of cuddling, laughing , and playing! I really do try to keep my sessions as laid back and easy as possible and with this family is was so easy!!
The best thing about lifestyle newborn sessions is you have more flexibility with the timing of your session. This baby boy was 7 weeks old for his newborn session. My main goal when shooting these sessions, is to capture your family as they are. That may mean a sleeping baby, an awake baby, or even both! We don't spend hours trying to get your baby sleep.
I am SUPER excited to share this in-home newborn session. This session is a bit different from a lot of the newborn sessions I have shot but it is a direction I would love to start moving more into with my work. This session was approached with more of a documentary style and I couldn't be more happy with how it turned out.
I think by now everyone knows my passion for shooting fresh 48s. They are hands down my favorite sessions. There is something about those first few days that you just can't capture during an in-home newborn session. I also think those are the moments and feelings that are hard to remember as a parent, especially a first time parent. It is such a whirlwind of emotion squeezed into a short period of time that you feel sort of high yet so exhausted at the same time. I personally have never had a fresh 48 for any of my own babies and now that I shoot them, I deeply regret it.
Lifestyle newborn sessions are some of my favorites. Although, they are just as unpredictable as an outdoor family session, I personally love the real emotion that these sessions have. I shot this lovely family for an in-home this winter. I love when I get to meet clients prior to their newborn session. It makes the process so much more relaxed for everyone. We spent most of our session laughing and talking about the struggles of parenting.
Lifestyle newborn sessions are some of my favorite sessions. No two sessions are a like! Some are quiet and calm, yet others are energetic and loud! Each family brings a unique vibe and style to their session and that's what I LOVE! My job as your photographer is to capture YOUR family as they are, not to make you look like a pinterest perfect family.
I know I have said before but I will say it again, Fresh 48s are hands down my favorite sessions! The emotions that are present in these sessions are so raw and real. As a new mom, you try to memorize every little detail of your new baby while fighting the pain and sleep deprivation that comes those first few days after delivery. I try to capture all those little details about a newborn that you want remember but that often change so quickly!
From the moment that Lindsey contacted me for her twin girl newborn session, I was excited! Who doesn't love twins? I remember bringing home my first baby boy and how long it took my husband and I to get into that parenting groove. That is why I am always in awe of twin parents! They seem to really get into that groove so much quicker. Lindsey and Mike were no different.
I started 2018 off with this 1 day old in hospital session! Fresh 48s are one of my favorite sessions to shoot, especially when it is first time parents. There is something so special and raw about those first days in the hospital that you can't get in a newborn session.
